Might be worth breaking that savings goal down into manageable chunks. I find the 100 squares method is really good. You have a grid of 100 squares, divide the amount by 100 and colour in each square as you achieve it.

    Enjoy your evening 🥂

Thanks SA - I love a bit of colouring in 😍.  I found an idea on Pinterest which I'm going to use - a sweetie jar with 100 "sweets" in to colour.  I'm rubbish at drawing so I'm going to practice drawing the jar before I do it in my "best" notebook.

  • Visual aids always good motivation. One of things I miss about working in office is being able to print things off.
That's a shame about the beach being next county over. Hopefully you'll get the chance to go later on this year. I'm very lucky with where I live.

I’ve also got lights round my fireplace plus a twig tree all year round. My cat will only eat Felix, she won’t downshift which is very inconsiderate of her 😆Fingers crossed your car passes its MOT🤞

I love fairy lights too. I'm hoping to put one of the 50p strings I bought in Wilk*'s sale the other week up in our conservatory today.

Thank you SA, SH and foxgloves - fairy lights are a great way to create a nice atmosphere.  I need to top up batteries on a couple of sets that were languishing at the back of a cupboard and then I'll put them on the mantelpieces.
Was booked to go for a walk at a NT garden today but because of the snow it was closed. I'm quite relieved as I do a great impression of bambi on ice but not quite as elegant.
Instead we took a flask of tea to a local car park with fab views out over the distant city.  Stayed in the car but it felt refreshing as a change of scene.
no money spent again today.  I've nearly run out of shampoo and conditioner so I've used the decanted pots I made over Christmas where I tipped all the mini hotel bottles together into an empty shampoo bottle.  It's got quite a "lively" scent but it does the job and best of all prevents a trip to the shops which would probably involve buying more than a bottle of shampoo and conditioner.

You know how to live with your flask of tea in the car park 😆 I think this virus has taught us to enjoy the simple things. That’s very frugal of you with the shampoo and conditioner. I must admit I’m one of those people who cut tubes in half when they’re pretending to be empty, always loads left still.
