STV Player

When watching STV Player, every time the advert changes I get a loud noise "crack" from the speakers.
I don't have this issue on any other channel or player.
Any ideas what might be causing this?

    Are you using Freeview on an aerial, or Freesat?
    I think this job really needs

    Why would that matter for a catch-up app that uses the Internet?

    @OP - are you using the app on a computer, TV or plug-in device (like a Fire TV Stick)?

    I am using the app on my smart TV Samsung UE78HU8500 which is connected via BT Youview box to Onkyo surround sound with mission speakers.

    I only have this "crack" noise as the adverts change while watching STV Player. I can eliminate the sound by muting the speakers while adverts are on.

    Do you get the same if you use the STV Player on the YV box?

    I get the sound each time the advertisement changes on any programme viewed on the STV Player via YV Box. I do not get the sound when viewing live or recorded STV programmes or on any other catch up channel e.g. ITV Player My5.

    Only way I have found to eliminate the sound is to mute during adverts.
