tyre punctures outside building site

advice please:
in the last 3 months I have picked up punctures on 6 tyres - all requiring replacement as the tyres are run-flats.
The punctures have been from building materials - screws and masonry tie-rods.
My short commute takes me past one building site, and my tyre pressure sensor has flashed up warnings immediately after passing the site. Hence, strongly suspecting that the road debris is from the building site but I have no legal way of proving the screw is from the adjacent site.
I have reported to the district council in the hope that others have reported similar but am pessimistic of any compensation.
Replacing one tyre I could live with, but at the moment I'm scrapping tyres that have done <100 miles!
Any possibility I've got any chance of a claim? Advise please?

Advise please?
Find a different route while the building work is going on?0 -
As above, don't drive past it. There is a lovely short cut on my way home that is virtually guaranteed to give you a puncture with a screw or similar fixing, so I sit in the traffic longer, and don't use it.
You can get puncture & damage insurance when you purchase new tyres that would replace them on a "pay only for the wear basis". Might be worth it when you next get a puncture.I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....
(except air quality and Medical Science)

For you to claim on the builder you would need to prove they were negligent and the screw came from their site.
Very difficult to do but good luck if you do decide to go down that route on the next one, two, three....
It may make them carry out better housekeeping.0 -
I echo the avoidance route.
However, you could always go back to the road on foot and take photos of the building shrapnel to pass onto the council. You'd have minimal chance of claiming any compensation from the builders though because you'd struggle to prove anything unless they are in violation of something like using an unsuitable skip or missing netting.0 -
If you know it's there why keep driving that route? Have a word with the site manager see if they can do anything.0
