I have got an advert from the Sun newspaper which clearly states that FOUR People can stay in the Alton Towers Hotel FOR £99.
On ringing the booking number (using 'Say No To 0870) I find that the offer is only valid in the hotel next door and if those 4 people all happen to be adults then a supplement of £50 is payable.
the only info in the small print says that
-"rooms can accommodate up to four people."
-the discount applies to standard rooms, not suites
-B&B is included
Nowhere am I referred to any other terms and conditions or even the website.
On the phone they treat my booking as if I want the online price rather than the Sun offer. This is very similar except it does include the small print of 2 adults and 2 kids.
Can they do this when something is written in black and white and uses such unambiguous language?

Well the Sun and truth and accurate reporting don't exactly go hand in hand do they?
The smallest two out of the four of you could always dress up as school kids to see if you can get in!
