Appealing PCN for parking on single yellow line (Newham)

Hi Guys,
I am looking to appeal a PCN I received for 'Parked in restricted street during prescribed hours' . I feel as though the ticket guy is trying to chance this one, the cars parked behind me didnt have parking tickets but were there before I arrived, nor did they have pay and display tickets on show. I was only there for a short time and assumed it was ok as there was a couple of other cars parked there already.
To give you a better picture, where I am parked is a faded single yellow line (In fact i'm parked over the section that is completed faded away as you can see from the pictures), Directly in front of my car (around 2 further) is pavement making it a dead end road, this single yellow line follows to opposite the road where there are 2 bays for the pay and display parking. These were full at the time I arrived.
From my understanding there needs to be a display for the single yellow line stated the hours that you cannot park. The only display I can see is for the 2 pay and display bays across the road. I am looking to possibly appeal on the basis there is no sign for the single yellow. (Would like advise on this)
In addition the area I am parked over is very faded/completed faded as you can see from the picture A PCN surely cannot be issued when the single yellow is barely visible?
Please advise on what you guys think.
Here's a link with the photos I took and photos council put on the PCN.
My photos are on dropbox but I cannot post the full link as I am a new user.
Please copy the first part and second part of the link.

Since we specialise in private parking charges here on MSE you would be better off taking this over to our friends on pepipoo.com as they are the council motoring experts.
You will need to sign up with a non-Hotmail email address before reading the FAQs and then posting your redacted PCN with your query.I married my cousin. I had to...I don't have a sister. All my screwdrivers are cordless."You're Safety Is My Primary Concern Dear" - Laks0 -
