Unoccupied house insurance: is there an insurer that doesn't require weekly inspections?

My holiday home insurance requirements are almost exactly word for word as per poster @pOOsticks.
As I recall it's arranged via the broker A-plan.
I do turn off the water actually every time I'm not there on the basis that I really do not want one of the flexible pipes to the washing machine and sinks/basins to blow at any time of the year, but do not drain and have a frost-stat type heating arrangement to ensure the property is kept above freezing during the cold weather.
I also have a temperature logger (RC-5 type) running during the winter period to ensure there can be no "arguments" in the event of a claim.
I suppose the argument the insurance industry might is that holiday homes the owner is actively using them and has an incentive as owner to keep them in good nick.
Those properties made suddenly unoccupied by virtue of the occupier going into hospital or sadly deceased then it is often less likely that someone or indeed anyone is going to to bothered about them: hence them wanting to ensure by way of 7 day inspections that someone IS going to have to bother.
There will also be a difference between those properties which are unoccupied but fully furnished and those properties which are unoccupied but in reality unoccupiable by way of lack of functional facilities in them.
Requiring the electric to be switched off in a unoccupied property over the winter sounds the most stupid idea I've heard in ages.0 -
My mum used https://www.guardcover.co.uk/unoccupied-property-insurance/ for her unoccupied property insurance. Good price, option for no visits (which was important due to the current challenge and the fact the property was 90 miles away). May be worth a look 👀 They had some guides (either on the site or on LinkedIn - can’t remember) which were useful as she’d never needed this type of insurance before.
