I don't understand the panic. Gordon & Noble are simply debt collectors. They don't 'own' any debt, they cannot pursue through the courts. A Letter Before Action means the next action will be another letter! On behalf of which parking firm are they begging? Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

The only thing giving me cause for alarm is there's multiple tickets. This is on behalf of euro car parks. You merely adopted the PCN. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't see this forum until I was already a man.0

How Radgieweegie said:The only thing giving me cause for alarm is there's multiple tickets. This is on behalf of euro car parks.ECP are hardly litigious in England and Wales where the small claims court processes are a well trodden path for parking firms. Scotland is pretty much uncharted territory for them. But an actual claim would have to be made by the PPC themselves or a law firm representing them. G&N aren't one of those. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. 8 tickets. Again, well in the past. Its easy to lose sight of them not being the ones I owe money to. I suspect they're testing the water now that the new law is on the way. At what point should I SAR ecp?You merely adopted the PCN. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't see this forum until I was already a man.0

It has no bearing on your issues
In England and Wales we have had to learn about all this over the last decade , whereas you in Scotland have a major catch up to do , especially where your laws and procedures differ from ours
The law discussed in this thread will most likely be enacted when the Parking bill is enacted , bringing your nation into line with England and Wales , apart from the fact that the statute is 5 years in Scotland , not 6 years3 -

Thanks a lot. Thats me done hijacking for now. At what point should I create a new thread relating to this? I.e at the letter before action stage, or the court claim stage? You merely adopted the PCN. I was born in it, molded by it. I didn't see this forum until I was already a man.0

Also, Radgie, be aware that they do try to trace people and contact/harass them by phone, with aggressive, threatening calls aimed at scaring victims into paying-up on the spot. Do not entertain any calls from them whatsoever.
And yes, you need to get this split into a new thread ASAP - esp because of who you are dealing with and because you clearly agreed to not hijack threads as part of your signup!

Someone I know remembers having an email exchange with Barnes & Noble
in relation to a thread here a few years ago. 😁 It wasn't their thread - they just felt like poking the bear.
