Recall rights

Hi just asking if anyone knows where I stand with the new recall on whirlpool washing machines.
These were recalled due to fire risk with the door latch overheating
I owned one of the models that have been recalled but the door lock mechanism had burnt out and the machine would no longer work.
I have recently scrapped the machine so no longer have it in my possession I still have documents which state the model serial number etc would I be entitled to some sort of compensation?

I wouldn't have thought so, no. I suspect they'd want to inspect the machine before issuing any remedy.0

A like-for-like replacement washing machine provided free-of-charge
A free-of-charge in-home repair of your appliance
That will be NO then.Life in the slow lane0 -
By doing so you also scrapped any chance of "compo".Monkeydust wrote: »I have recently scrapped the machine
