Hi
I've sent of my form today to HSBC with my bank details accepting their PPI refund.
How long will it take to go into my account?
Thanks

anything from a few days to a few months.0

Usually up to 28 days but could be longer if a substantial amount as it may have to go through an audit. Give it two weeks then phone and ask.0

Oh it does say on the letter 4 weeks actually I've just realised. Just wondered if anyone had any experience of whether it took that long or could be longer.
Thank you.0 -
People have had experience of both. It could be sooner or later.0

With the addition of Xmas and New Year Bank Holidays approaching, I'd say there is little chance of anything prior to 2020...0 -
That’s not taking into consideration that the form gets lost in the Christmas post and never actually arrives. That’ll tend to extend it out past 28 days.helpful tips
it's spelt d-e-f-i-n-i-t-e-l-y
there - 'in or at that place'
their - 'owned by them'
they're - 'they are'
it's bought not brought (i just bought my chicken a suit from that new shop for £6.34)0 -
Was it first or second class post on the (presumed) prelabelled envelope? I ask because the post office mentioned to me (today) that today is the last day for 2nd class post to arrive before christmas. Then they have to process it...Peter
Debt free - finally finished paying off £20k + Interest.0 -
I didn't get a pre addressed envelope I just sent it first class recorded delivery to hopefully avoid it being lost!0

That may have been a mistake. Recorded delivery means it gets taken out of the normal processes and dramatically increases the chances of it going astray.
Give them a call in a few days to see if it arrived and if not, ask for a new form.0 -

"Blackpuddin" might be wise to read my experiences in this regard (from 2012):
