Storage Boxes for house moving

Does anyone have any advice on what good deals are around for sturdy good quality cardboard storage boxes, or lidded plastic boxes.

I need boxes that can be stacked for storage - have to store the goods for a few months..... (in a lock-up)

I am after a cheap method. I have been on freecycle for boxes, but noone is moving house in my area - it seems .

Any help would be gratefully received.

I got quite a few large plastic boxes from Wilkinsons - they were about £5 each but hold quite a lot and have lids. Im using them for toy storage and they fit all the big stuff!

Might be worth asking on Freecycle. People who have recently moved are often pleased to get rid of boxes after they have unpacked.

these peeps can supply boxes etc.. very handy as they have depots all over the place. they aint too cheap though. i have used them in an emergency situation.

try and get free ones first from anywhere you can.

Ask anyone who works in a large office if they chuck out their old archive filing boxes. They hold kilos of paper so are strong for pretty much anything you want to chuck in them. Make sure you get the lids with them though.

You can buy new ones from Costco at a reasonable price (c £10-15 for 6). I've used mine 3 times so far and they are still going strong.

They can be stacked six high so are great if you're keeping anything in storage.
