Buying a flat with a wooden floor that the lease says no wooden floors are allowed

Without wanting to sound flippant,you could get an idea of the noise by standing below the flooring in the downstairs flat whilst someone walks repeatedly on it wearing stiletto heels....or rolling a marble around....or if you are in the position to get a couple of toddlers to just spend an hour playing.....whilst you listen and appreciate the noise transfer.

Leases have these types of conditions sometimes written into them to highlight that without them it can become very frustrating and sometimes intolerable to those living below. Sometimes its not so much the noise that's produced but the fact that those having to listen to it have no control over it.

Only buy this property if you are prepared to change the flooring if requested.
