Did the agreement you have by any chance also state that any accident - particularly one which meant the car was written off - should be immediately reported to the owner of the vehicle also?🎉 MORTGAGE FREE (First time!) 30/09/2016 🎉 And now we go again…New mortgage taken 01/09/23 🏡

The sooner you tell the truth and return the car, the less it's going to cost you in the long run. That specialist investigator is going to be costing you a chuffing fortune (because the finance company will be getting it back from you).0

I spotted this and want to ask the following.
I two had car reported stolen by finance company a few days ago. However, I'm in a different situation. I have a court case against the finance company in progress. The car was taken, but on enquiry with met police I was allowed to recover at cost obviously. On complaint to finance company I was advised of a final figure .
1. They should have reported car stolen as per police officer
2. They're unaware I've been allowed to collect.
3. They've underhandedly used their powers as collection agents should have been used.
What's my stance?
