Claim that I hit parked car months ago

  • I didn't know Android phone's could do that! Even if I have the history of my exact movements on the day, I'm not sure if it would prove anything yet. I have not been given a specific time at which the alleged incident was supposed to have taken place, only a date. I suspect this is because they don't have an actual time, and are only basing the claim on the fact that the scuff on my car seems to match their damage.

Could prove it beyond all doubt if you were in another part of the country.

It certainly doesn't prove it wasn't the OP's car.

Perhaps they'd lent their phone to somebody else that day.
Perhaps there's a named driver on their policy.

    After 7 months?
Yes. I used mine a couple of months back to find out exactly which restaurants I ate in when I holidayed in Rome in 2015.

The OP seems to be asking the wrong questions, why would a neighbour think it was the OPs car, if it wasnt?
Do the scratches on both cars match, if so he is guilty. If he is a straight up guy, he would be going around to see his neighbour to check and ask for more details.
    Still sounds fishy to me.

You seem to like an argument so I'll leave you to it.
  • I know roughly what I was doing on the day in question, not exact timings but I know that I was in my area. Obviously if I had been in an entirely different place or country there could be no debate.

I have no idea whose car this is or who the person making this claim is. They could be someone from my area, but I don't know them and wouldn't know their address. They have could been someone visiting the area just for a day - I literally have no idea.

As long as you have a android phone... Might even work on other phones so long as you have a gmail account and tracking is enabled.

Really handy or scary depending on how you look at it.

Tap a date to view your location history.

Good God, not only do The Government know every word said in my house via Alexa, every youtube video I have watched, email, phone call and text I have ever sent, but they know exactly where my 'phone has been.

Good job I generally carry my £4.99 Tesco County Lines phone when I'm out- and it is switched off ;)
I want to go back to The Olden Days, when every single thing that I can think of was better.....

(except air quality and Medical Science ;))
