Hi guys,
Im trying to work this out, but I not getting anywhere
I have .PNG/JPG files, of a square pattern, normally when it gets printed to fabric for clothing, they make it into a seamless design
I am trying to make it into a seamless design myself, for some mockup products, but cant seem to get it into an actual seamless patter, when I use the product templates I just get tiles of the same design, if that makes sense
im using GIMP, can any help?
Ive attached a file for example

Ok, take the picture supplied. and make a copy. the picture has to be a seamless continuation to start with.
cut out the two squares and put the cut out squares on top of one another.
now slide one square north (or south - no difference) so the edges marry up.
Do the same as above but slide it west and it becomes wider
So whatever your original picture is you have to either double the height, or width, or use 4 pictures and double both height and width.
I use Paint.net and from the toolbar > Image > canvas size > just change pixel size width and height/ anchor top left.
One of many ways to skin a [STRIKE]cat[/STRIKE] chihuahua
Tip: paste new pictures as layers, as like real cutouts you can slide them0
