How to dry plaster? HELP
Comments
-
I’m guessing the fibre you’re referring to is the fibre mesh?
Nope. Mesh is used over board joints and cracks. The fibres I referred to (and use) are more akin to fluff. They get mixed in to the plaster before the stuff is slapped on the walls/ceiling/floor. To be more accurate, throughly stirred in to water before plaster is added. If you try to add the fibres to a ready mixed bucket of plaster, you end up with balls of fluff peppering the finished plaster.Any language construct that forces such insanity in this case should be abandoned without regrets. –

For those who have been searching for the same answer and may come across this thread.
To summarise, I had my whole house plastered in winter and have not added any heating at all to the house, I left windows open were possible and others on night latch, and all is fine and dry! No cracks!
Hope this helps
