HM Land registry property alerts

I signed up to the Land Registry property alert scheme when we moved into our current house 12 months ago.
Since then I have had a couple of email notifications from land registry relating to our neighbourhood. Each notification has a reference number and in both cases are lodged by the company which administers our leasehold account.
I have contacted the management company and in both cases they say that they have no record any activity which would trigger a notification.
I have tried without success to search the land registry site for more details using the reference number given. Not sure what use the notification service is if I cannot find details as to what the notification relates to.
Could anyone advise how I go about finding more details on the notifications I receive please?
Thanks

The service is designed to help people protect their property from possible fraud. To that end the notification provides very basic details , namely that an application has been lodged and by whom.
The owner would , in a non-fraudulent situation, be expected to know about the application as lodged e.g. a sale, remortgage or similar but at least have a point of contact to investigate further.
I suspect in this case you have registered for a notification against both the leasehold (which you own?) and the freehold tenures/titles. As such each and every time there is an application affecting the freehold title you will receive a notification albeit very unlikely to be of any direct/specific interest to you as a possible fraud.
If the freehold owner and/or management company don;t know what the applications are then you can submit an official search (form OS3 and £7). The search result will reaffirm who has made the application and what it is.
An example of what it could be would be an application to vary the terms of one of the other leases (not your own) on the freehold title for example.
I suspect, and I base this solely on experience of dealing with similar enquiries and not in any way to be critical of your placing an alert against the freehold title, that it's only your leasehold title that you want the alert against.
Entirely up to you though of course“Official Company Representative
