Available credit not increasing after payment

in Credit cards
I have a Halifax credit card and in the past the 'available credit' has always increased after I have made a payment and it shows on the account, so that the balance and the available credit added together match the credit limit.
Last week however I made some payments, and although the balance has reduced the available credit has remained unchanged. There are no pending transactions on the account. The credit limit is unchanged but the balance and available credit when added together no longer equal this.
Whilst it doesn't have any impact on me as I'm not intending to spend on the card in the immediate future, I was wondering if there has been a recent change in the way they are treating payments.
I did read a message recently about how they were changing how overdrafts are displayed, but didn't pay too much attention as I don't have an overdraft. Perhaps it is all linked to this though.

The only figure that matters is the balance.0

Available credit should be credit limit minus balance plus any authorised transactions.
If it is not and this persists then question this.0 -
Could it be pending transactions that have not yet dropped off?0

How are you making the payments. I do mine via pay in full DD but at least 24 hours go by after payment is received from a linked Halifax account before my available balance increases even though the payment shows. If you are paying from a none Halifax account it may well be that they are waiting to ensure that the payment will not rebound!0

Good idea and thank you for your suggestion, but no there are no pending transactions. How are you making the payments. Thanks your reply and thoughts as to what might be the cause.
I paid by transfer from my Halifax current account in online banking. It shows in the current account straight away and takes a day or two before it shows up under the credit card, at which point the available balance has increased.
As this was earlier last week and the credit card balance is showing as reduced I would have expected the available balance to have changed.
Fortunately it doesn't really impact me as I am not planning to spend on the card, was just curious if they had changed the way payments are applied.
I suppose it could be a change, it could be a glitch or it could be they are planning to reduce the credit limit.0 -
The available credit is now back to showing as the difference between the credit limit and balance, so I assume it has just been a glitch.0
