KLM flight compensation

I claimed for a disrupted flight with KLM. Flight from NYC to Amaterdam was 2 hours late I had missed my connecting flight and was 8hrs late home. KLM said that airplane was delayed due to late arrival of incoming aircraft which caused mandatory safety check after a hard landing of aircraft. They said it was an extraordinary circumstance and refused to pay compemsation. Im not aure if that case is an extraordinary circumstance

Yes I did and it said I might due compensation.
  • KLM didn't pay out to me either after a long delay, said it was bad weather where an earlier plane originated.
Last time I flew with them, back to BA for me, even if more inconvenient lol

There are a number of schemes for claims resolution. Most seem to be voluntary but I don't know if KLM are associated with any of them.

They are and are also bound by their decisions; https://www.aviationadr.org.uk
If the provider is a member of AviationADR, they will be contractually obligated to implement our decision.

One can request that a board guide move the thread.

They are ADR. I have just sent an email as apparently hard landing of inbound aircraft is NOT considered as extraordinary circumstance
