Misleading Groupon

I recently purchased a product of Groupon , Classic Ferraro Rocher 16, the image for this product was a box containing 3x Ferraro Rocher in a package contained within a golden Ferraro Rocher box £16.99 plus £1.99 delivery, I thought happy days perfect Christmas present, it will go a lot further than the flat case that you would buy in the shop, so a few days passed no notice of delivery, then all of a sudden the package arrived, not a box, not the classic Ferraro Rocher I had ordered, but a flat box of mixed Ferraro Rocher, which I could have picked up in a local shop for half the price. Where do I stand ? The image of the product was misleading what I ordered was no where near what I wanted ( classic, not mixed) and I feel ripped of by the pricing. I paid for the product using PayPal and I’ve contacted the retailer raising my concerns, the package arrived with no documentation and it’ll cost me more in time and money to return the item, which I have very little of to be honest, any advice on this matter would be most appreciated
Thanks

Can I just clarify something, you say 'this would go a lot further than the normal box you can buy in the shops', so did you get the number you paid for? I note they do two sizes, you bought the 48 pieces so how many did you get? Are you in effect just saying that you didn't get the outer cardboard box that's shown in the photo and which may actually relate to the larger size?I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. This deal:
https://www.groupon.co.uk/deals/ferrero-pack-16-chocolates
So you were expecting 16 packs of 3 (so 48 chocolates) but instead got a normal box?
You did not receive what you paid for so are entitled to a refund and return the chocolates at their expense ans tour convenience.
Ps - £14.40 and free postage on Amazon...Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
You seem to be saying you’re unwilling to return them, so wouldn’t be entitled to a refund - you’d have to return them to get one.0

If you want a refund, you'll need to return them.0

Was expecting 48 pieces instead got bog standard mixed (£5 in tescos at the minute) not classic which I ordered, no documentation no receipt, no information to send the product back anyway just a grey postage bag with bubble wrap0

To add further insult the website states it does not take returns on food items, the site has reply to my email looking for an image to provide proof that the item is the wrong. It’s assured me that this doesn’t happen that often, which isn’t the point, I’m just hoping for some resolve with this matter, I’m always looking for a bargain, I feel ripped off let down and disappointed by the group0

Well you seem to have two choices. Either accept the mistake and buy elsewhere, or do the necessary homework to get your refund.0

It's not your fault if they don't take returns on food items. If the order is not correct they need to refund or send you the correct item!
I would be opening a PayPal dispute for item not as described.Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')

Unless I missed it, the OP doesn't and isn't willing to return. If they want a refund via a Paypal dispute, they need to return the item, at their own expense*.
* if they subscribe to "returns on us" they may get a reimbursement up to £15.0 -

I can't see how you thought this was bargain at £16.99 plus £1.99 for 48 Ferrero Rocher is not cheap at all. Just look at the prices elsewhere and they are far cheaper for a similar amount. Take this as a lesson in future to do some research before blindly buying something just because your told it's a deal.
Just provide an image of proof showing the item is wrong and get it sorted out. The fact you paid too much without looking at prices elsewhere is your problem.0
