Can I refuse delivery ?

I need a little bit of consumer advice. I ordered some Christmas presents, wrapping paper, and Christmas cards over 2 weeks ago from Studio Cards. It took until last Monday to get dispatched and then when it did I track it with Hermes and it says the delivery driver failed to deliver today and will try again tomorrow. That was Wednesday and the status remains the same.
I contacted Studio and they said they will see whats happened to the parcel and send me an email, but lo and behold - no email. I waited forever to speak to one of their Customer Service reps and they were extremely unhelpful.
It is getting way too close to Christmas now and I need to get presents off to various family members so I need to go out and purchase more from elsewhere.
I have tried to cancel the order as it is still in limbo but their website says:
"Once an order is submitted we are unable to change any of the details."
So basically they say I have to wait to receive my parcel then return it to them and pay the cost of delivery myself. So I just want to ask, am I able to instead just refuse to accept the parcel if and when it does eventually arrive? Studio cards are absolutely diabolical. Thanks in advance for the help.

Yes, you can refuse to accept delivery.
Of course, that assumes that you're in, and they don't just dump the parcel on your doorstep. If it sticks, force it.
If it breaks, well it wasn't working right anyway.0
