Wrong tv sent

Hi everyone
Just asking for a little advice on what to expect. I purchased a 49in techwood television from AO, it was delivered 5/12/19. Everything looked correct. The box stated what I had brought correctly. I had a look inside the box and at the serial number just to confirm it was the correct tv. So everything seemed fine. Today I had arranged for someone to come and wall mount my television for me. Once all done and paid for I settled down to finish off setting up the tv. After about 10 mins I thought it looked a little smaller then I thought, so just to put my mind at rest I got out my tape measure to only find it is a 43in television. The box states it’s 49in and the serial number states 49in. So then I measure the box and that is only 47in. I’ve sent them an email tonight stating all of this I’m just wondering how they can explain it and also do you think they can get away with doing anything because I’ve already wall mounted it.

Which bit did you measure?

You've clearly measured it incorrectly. The box states it’s 49in and the serial number states 49in. So then I measure the box and that is only 47in. I’ve sent them an email tonight stating all of this I’m just wondering how they can explain it and also do you think they can get away with doing anything because I’ve already wall mounted it.
You should have measured it diagonally, not horizontally.
Expect your E-Mail "complaint" to therefore be swiftly disregarded.
If you want a bigger TV then actually purchase one.

The main thing is you have the correct TV. Probably time to invest in a new tape measure
and perhaps get someone else to hold the ends of it. 0 -

Also, the first 2 numbers in the model number relate to screen size

A very well done for updating us - I honestly didn't think we'd hear back!

To be fair, if you've never been told it's diagonal, you're not to know - but a useful thing to remember. Happy viewing! :beer:0
