Alternatives for non-magnetic GB vehicle sticker for driving abroad?

Now that it is confirmed that we will be leaving the EU on 31 January 2020, the GB/EU symbol on number plates will no longer be legal if you take your car out of the UK, either to Ireland or continental Europe. Instead the Government says we must all return to having an old fashioned "oval", Black GB on White background, around 18 x 13 cm, on the back of the car.
If you use a Self-Adhesive GB sticker then the adhesive can muck up yout paint work, and can be difficult to get off.
Magnetic GB Stickers were once a good alternative to the self-adhesive stickers, but Magnetic stickers are now useless on many modern cars, which are now built using alloy panels or plastic bumpers at the rear (to reduce vehicle weight) leaving nowhere to put them.
Does anyone know of and can recommend an up to date alternative to both Magnetic & Self-Adhesives where the GB sticker can be removed when not required?
There is sure to be a big demand for them once the transtion period for leaving the EU ends in 12 months time.

Why would you want to take it off? I put my adhesive one on over 10 years ago and it's still there.0

When in France, I've always needed a roofbox on the car, and it was to the roofbox that I stuck my GB sticker.
But rejoice in the fact that you will no longer have to buy two breath alcohol testers to have in the car when travelling through France - so even with the price of a GB sticker you're saving money!0
