  • I got this text today. Googled to see if it was a scam and found your post here.
  • Nearly got taken by this as I am actually expecting a delivery today and have gone out. Logical MSE brain kicked in when they asked for shipping costs. Hang on a sec, you can afford to give away an iPhone but not shipping? Hmmmmm :rotfl: try again

  • Yep, I got the same one too. I picked up a parcel from the Post Office yesterday so when it appeared under the collection text from Royal Mail that I got for that collection, I clicked to see why it thought I hadn't collected it. Then, it unexpectedly took me to a Currys page, which is when I Googled to get to this forum... thanks everyone!

I got a text from Royal Mail saying message below, I know it’s from Royal Mail because I have text messages from previous when they sent me delivery update

Reminder: there is an item waiting to be confirmed by Pm : http://vwmk2b.com/3Bgq You took one of the spots on our Currys' XMAS-list.

When I click on it takes me to a website called Prizestoconfirm.com with Curries as the heading
It then goes on to ask me a few questions then verify my details then it tells me:
    Approved!

Your selected iPhone 11 Pro will de delivered within 5 working days.
Please confirm your delivery address and pay a small fee (£2.00) for insured shipping. It’s got a few reviews, one says thank you curries and another says I thought it was a scam at first, but I've just received confirmation with delivery details. Thank you

When I click on confirm it takes me to a website called winanticipation and asks for my card details to pay for then small fee for £1

I’m a bit skeptical as it’s asking for my card details, anyone had this before, it does sound like a scam

YES I had the same info ( Just Delete )
There are more questions than answers :shhh: :silenced:
WARNING ! May go silent for unfriendly replies
Please excuse me Spell it MOST times :o

Call your bank / credit card company - check to see what has been put through on the account, and follow their advice, but I suspect they'll cancel the card and send out a new one.

Have you replied to any text messages from them? I've heard of scams where people end up being charged to respond to texts. If you have, let your phone company know / change your mobile number as necessary.

Sorry this has happened to you.
  • I just fell for this as have had previous messages from royal mail so thought was legit 😩 do I just contact my bank?
  • I had the same message and it actually comes from Royal Mail, it was with the same messages that I received about a parcel getting delivered the day before.
Look all over for some information on the website but couldn’t find anything.
