Living North is delighted to have teamed up with the luxurious Headlam Hall Country Hotel & Spa to give one lucky reader the chance to win a spectacular two-night break, including a dinner for two and a half bottle of Champagne on arrival. This 17th century country house hotel, surrounded by its own beautiful walled gardens and rolling farmland, is an idyllic rural retreat, complete with a luxury spa and golf course.

Our lucky winners will stay in one of Headlam Hall’s Main Hall Deluxe or Spa Balcony rooms. Headlam Hall is a working farm and its kitchen produces modern British food that reflects the fabulous local produce sourced from the surrounding countryside. Much of the fruit, herbs and vegetables used in the kitchen come from the hotel’s own garden, and seasonality is at the core of all the dishes produced here. There are two options for dining; The Orangery looks out onto a walled patio where you can dine al fresco should the weather permit, or dine in The Library Bar, with its cosy open fire and dog-friendly bar area.

Headlam Hall is certainly a place to relax and our winners will have full use of the hotel’s spa facilities, which include a 15-metre swimming pool, an outdoor hydrotherapy pool, sauna, steam room and drench shower, a fully-equipped gym and spa relaxation lounge with cosy log-burning stove. Here, you can enjoy brunch, lunch or drinks on the terrace, or in the Brasserie with its expansive views over the golf course.
