Buildings insurance for unoccupied home

I'm buying a new home, but before moving in we want to renovate it. Before renovation can begin the architect needs to do their work and a builder needs to be hired. Before the architect can begin, I need to complete on the purchase.

I have exchange->completion insurance.
I'll eventually get specialist renovation insurance.
But what do I for the time period (of unknown duration, possibly months in the worst case) between completion and start of renovations?

I can't find an insurer who will even provide a quote for an unoccupied home in this circumstance.

The specialist renovation insurers need certain details that I'll only have after hiring the builder.
