I've never heard of this site. Sorry for being over anxious but are they definitely legit?

Just wanted to add that I have used Bang CD many times, with no problems, other than that (as another reply already said) you will not usually get the UK version of the album, so the packaging may be different. Rarely, there may be some differences in the songs (eg, you might not have got the "UK-only" bonus track on the Scissor Sisters first album). But these are not going to be the best tracks, so unless you are a serious collector this is unlikely to be an issue.

I can also vouch for the free mp3 offer. This is eMusic. They are trying to get you to sign up for a monthly subscription, but you can cancel once you have got your free mp3s. I have done this (twice, actually) with no problem. They are completely legit (based in the US, not Russia). AFAIK, they do not sell music from the big labels (EMI etc), so you will not find a lot of the top 50 (though you will find some of it and you will find many of the albums most highly acclaimed by the critics, as indicated by https://www.metacritic.com, for instance The Arcade Fire). If, like me, you like this kind of stuff, you may find that you want a lot more than 25 tracks, in which case you will find their prices are way cheaper than iTunes etc. So, if you do end up accidentally paying for a month's subscription, it isn't the end of the world, as for a few pounds you can use it to download some of the cheapest music you can buy (outside of the Russian sites, and let's not get side-tracked on them).

  • I have used Bang CD a couple of times via Quidco and got a further 10% off. They seem fine although they do use Paynova instead of Worldpay to process the card transaction - Having said that Paynova seem to sorted out the previous problems they had

I regularly use BangCD and had no problems - takes a few days to arrive.

To find the very cheapest though - start here http://www.best-cd-price.co.uk/ It is usually CDWow or BangCD who are the cheapest but not always.

Note that quidco will pay £4 even if you cancel the subscription.

Ive also used bangcd a few times now (after finding them on quidco) & ive had no problem with any orders. Best bit is the boyfriend doesnt realise im getting his prezzies so cheap either! hehehehe
  • I'm in two minds. I've been putting it off for around 2 years.

Somehow, BangCD managed to get someone's mailing list (I think it was cd-wow, but not sure). They then spammed everyone.

So I'm in 2 minds: Do I use this service because it is super-cheap or do I avoid them because they are spammers?

I'm getting between 3 and 6 emails a month from them and I've never signed up!

I used that site all the time untill I came across

    http://www.find-dvd.co.uk/

I now use that to search for CD's, DVD's and Games and they always seem to find the cheapest

    EG

Best cd price for Westlife Home CD - £7.99 (Powerplay)

Find DVD Best price is - £5.99 (Bang)

So always worth checking both :money:
