Outlook 2003 message rules

In Outlook Express, it is possible to have a mail rule that says if a certain condition exists "DO NOT DOWNLOAD FROM THE SERVER".
This allows another OE identity to download their personal email.
Despite a lot of looking, I cannot find this rule option in Outlook 2003.
Any ideas ?

It is in Tools/e-mail accounts.
Select the account and click change. Go to More Settings/Advanced. Put a check in the box "Leave messages on server" and specify for how long.0 -
That will still allow any Outlook 2003 profile to download all emails.
What I currently have in OE allows a user to download ONLY email addressed to that person and leave all others on the server.
As I have 4 different pc's with 4 different users all using variations of user@domainname.co.uk, this rule in OE is very useful.0 -
I am obviously missing something here. At work, I have five e-mail addresses. I can access all of them to send and receive. The other departments can only access their own user names. Thats with three pcs. I can also access every account at home. All e-mails are left on the server for 2 days. Surely you just set up the accounts and only give each user their own password. They would then need to type this in every time so no-one else could access it. If each person has their own PC then you simply set only each person's account up in Outlook on their own PC as I have done at work. All these accounts are user@domainname.co.uk.
Up until recently my colleague and I shared a computer. I have a passworded log in as administrator. It is in that log in that I supervise the e-mails. On my colleague's log in she can only access the generic e-mail account, so even on the same computer you can prevent people accessing each other's accounts.
If I have misunderstood, please explain where I am going wrong so I can try to help further.0 -

Let me try and make it a bit clearer.....
Outlook 2003 is installed and is set up with my email address, but I currently receive ALL emails, but I would like it to work so that I do not download emails addressed to the rest of the family.
Their individual profiles will then download their emails only.
This currently works fine with Outlook Express as each family member has an identity set up and the mail rules prevent anybody elses emails from being downloaded.
It may be that this only works with Outlook 2003 if it is set up as a mailserver, and not using profiles.0 -

I use Wanadoo (ex-Freeserve) as my ISP, and my email address is anythingATmyaccount.fsnet.co.uk.
To download all email, I use the login "myaccount.fsnet.co.uk". To download only emails to a specific email address, I use the login "specificATmyaccount.fsnet.co.uk" (Both of these are with the same password)
P.S. This form of email address is very useful, as you can register with various websites using the website as the first part of the address. For example, I registered here with "moneysavingexpertATmyaccount.fsnet.co.uk". I can see who is sending me junk mail and block it easily...Jumbo

Thanks for that.
I too have a Wanadoo account, so it was easy to set up when you know how.0 -

The problem is that Outlook rules are only processed on messages that make it into your inbox. You're looking for a rule that is processed by the server, not by Outlook.
If you don't want to download the families emails, then don't include their addresses in your email account under your Outlook profile.
Struggling to see where the problem is ... each member of family has their own profile. They open Outlook when they log on. The only email account they have in Outlook is the one that relates to their own email account and no other ...
Is this your set up?Warning ..... I'm a peri-menopausal axe-wielding maniac0 -
