Halifax - A more personal service letter

Anyone received one?
They're promising to call me and set up a Personal Relationship Manager.
I've only got Regular Savers, a couple of the Vantage c/a with not much in nowadays and barely used credit card.
Similar story with Lloyds.
Just a selling opportunity?

Definitely a selling opportunity.
Best not to bother to answer the calls.0 -

I've found that "personal relationship managers" don't stay in post long. So they are not very personal & there isn't much of a relationship.Tall, dark & handsome. Well two out of three ain't bad.0

They will probably try to get you to make an appointment to come in to branch for some sort of review. The best one is when they say 'to make sure you are getting the best rates' (Lloyds) as if they are going to increase their interest rates just for you! I actually challenged the Lloyds cashier who suggested me coming in for a review for this purpose saying that I would only come if she could guarantee an increase in the interest rate on my Club Lloyds account and Monthly savers if I complied. Of course she couldn't.1

Doesn't think sort of thing happen if you suddenly have a massive increase in your bank balance? Congratulations on winning the lottery.0

No.
I have had the letter from Halifax and all I have with them is three Reward current accounts which have closing balances of between £2.01 and £0.01 on most days of the month.0 -
We had one quite a while back, they never did get in touch.0

I've just received the same letter from Lloyds. Not really interested in this 'more personal service', whatever it may be anyway. Also we are in a lockdown and they want to meet in person.

It's just marketing, a way for them to sell you more products you probably don't need.
I much prefer Nationwide's approach of just letting you get on with it.2 -
I use to have one with Lloyds but advised them it was not required. To me it was just a selling opportunity. For me online banking serves my purpose and I am very capable of sourcing other products myself.veryintrigued said:Anyone received one?
