My decluttering challenge is helping me get some extra pennies for the debt. another 50 off the overdraft! So pleased! Chipping away slowing but surely - plus my house is looking that little bit tidier! :rotfl:

I have signed up to do some extra bank work within a MH unit close to us, as the pay is better than my current job (no overtime rate), so I am hoping if I can pick up a couple of shifts a month it will help. I have worked out that my current debt will be gone by Christmas if I do 56 extra shifts this year, am doing my first extra one at my current job tomorrow.
ITs difficult to work around as I have childcare issues and I am a lone parent, but I will muddle through some how. Its my speciality!£2 savers club #33

I like that you have worked out how many extra shifts you need to do - makes it look manageable. Don't overwork yourself though...it's tough being a single parent (I am in the same boat) and it can be hard as it is. Keep going though as you are keeping motivated. You can do it!Declutter 2020 - 267/2020 :j

Every £ paid off is a £ closer to debt freedom, thats how I see it.
I have been ill since NY Eve so first read through. Well done everyone, some amazing posts!
Could you please tell me what TCB is?
I’m struggling to make minimum payments let alone anything extra

TCB is topcashback it's a website you sign upto that gives you cash back on things you may be purchasing anyway. It has everything from insurance to utilities to catalogues and holidays you just go to topcashback website sign up then click through to your normal shop from there site and earn cashback. It can take a while to pay out and sometimes things don't track so it's best to use it as a bonus and not as a given. Hope that makes sense.

Yep, thats exactly it. I have been with TCB for 10 years and only had a few issues with things tracking, and I agree you should always see it as a bonus rather than a certainty.
I use it for stuff I would be buying. It can be a bit of a trap if you see it as 'if I buy this I get x amount of cashback' because you are spending money you dont need to, so I only ever use it on stuff I would be buying, such as insurance and utilities. Managed to make a bit over Christmas with the children's presents and some flowers I sent my Nan, so should have a few extra £££ to pay off my CC soon.£2 savers club #33

It has been really tough the last few years but I feel a bit of a better balance now. Will try not to get carried away and do too many extra shifts.£2 savers club #33
