Surely it's not up to the companies to decide themselves on what is acceptable for faulty pixels on a brand new device? Won't consumer law trump what they deem acceptable? I can understand if it's on a device that has been used for sometime, but not for something fresh out the box. There's a storm coming, Mr Johnson. You and your friends better batten down the hatches, because when it hits, you're all gonna wonder how you ever thought you could live so large and leave so little for the rest of us.0

There is an international standard relating to faulty pixels:
https://www.iso.org/obp/ui/#iso:std:iso:13406:-2:ed-1:v1:en
(see 3.4.13) and I'm fairly sure that this is what would be used in any consumer rights legal dispute.0 -
You may have dead pixels on devices you already own, they're not always obvious.Surely it's not up to the companies to decide themselves on what is acceptable for faulty pixels on a brand new device? I know of one pc builder/supplier that employs someone to sit checking monitor screens all day. Fault free ones are used on high spec PCs. which attract a premium price, the ones with a few pixels out are used with the others . .0 -
It can be said that this is a risk with technology, there is always a certain error rate for electronic products, unfortunately for you, maybe you have to accept this.0
