How long does it take to update

Hi all, I’ve paid of the remainder of my Barlaycard balance today. I wanted to do this ahead of applying for a remortgage and wonder how long roughly it will take to update on my file as I’m worried my application will fail on affordability if the balance still shows? Thanks in advance.

Look at when your Barclaycard last updated (there will be a last updated date) and expect the next update to be one month later. Do this for all 3 CRA's. One month from that date check that the updates have happened.

If you are doing it via a broker ask them if a printout showing zero balance would be acceptable whilst waiting for the CRA to update. Or the alternative is wait for your new statement as that will show zero balance.

Hopefully they would accept the print out as my statement was only produced today, prior to me making payment and my mortgage is due on 31st jan so hope to avoid going onto SVR
