Finding old Estate Agent Listings

Hi all,

I am trying to find a previous listing for a house which has now been removed from Rightmove etc. I am in the process of buying a house but am interested to know how long it was listed before going with the current agent....

Are you sure it has been removed, and not just moved to the Sold section? (If they have such a thing).

If you know the original listing link then you could try the Wayback machine (Internet Archive) to see if they have a snapshot of the original page.
  • Sometimes I have been able to pick up previous historic listings from the website zoopla.

You need to go to the particular property and if they have previous listings I believe there will be a H next to the sold data

    Hope that makes sense.

if it has been removed from rightmove, you can find it on rightmove anymore. Only way is described above with the internet cache websites :)

Thanks. I've got the most recent listing, but it was on with a different agent before which is what I'm trying to hunt down... :) It's a property we're in the process of buying but think we've been told a few porkies so trying to do some back research!

Have you looked on zoopla? Under the house prices section. it tells you what a house has previously sold for since 1995 and often has information on previous listings.

If it sold, rightmove sold data has the prevous listing number in the URL.

You can use that to search the history cache.

Silly question but have you tried Google. I often put the address or name of a property into it and it will bring up previous listings
An answer isn't spam just because you don't like it......
