British Gas annual boiler Service
I took out British Gas annual boiler service Oct 2018 which has been automatically renewed to date. I had my annual boiler check November 2018 and booked this year’s service in Oct 2019 for 11 December 2019; I wanted it for November to protect boiler warranty but, 11 Dec was the earliest date I could get. Last night I got a call from British Gas to say they cancelled my appointment because it’s not urgent. The next appointment date offered was late Feb / March! I expressed my disappointment and explained my boiler warranty situation. This made no difference. I later logged into my account to find my appointment removed with no alternative date. I note the system was now offering appointment dates early Feb - not late Feb / Mar!
I have cancelled my contract with British Gas and managed to find a local gas engineer who is able to service boiler early next week for a reasonable fee.
Just want consumers to be aware of British Gas boiler service - particularly if your boiler is under warranty and needs annual service to protect the warranty.
