    Today's code word is RACY
  • We have shortlisted our dates and parks, does anyone know for sure what time the site will open for bookings on Sunday morning?
  • Thank you for the thread and codes so far. Very excited to try and book a summer getaway. I have a quetion for the experts on here: is it possible to combine a 7-day European holiday with a 3-day one to make a 10-day break? Would the promo ferry deals still work?

It usually opens at midnight or thereabouts, but it doesn’t really matter what time it opens until you get the final code!

You can definitely book a 7 and a 3 as two separate bookings, subject to availability. You should be ok with the ferry but anything more than a 5 night break I find The Sun ferry deals are not so competitive.

A couple of years ago I tried to book 7 nights for half term but it wasn’t available, I managed to book the 4 nights through The Sun and then book an extra 2 nights separately through Eurocamp. The interesting thing there was because I had the Eurocamp booking I got access to their discounted travel deal for the entire break, which was cheaper than The Sun’s travel deal anyway. So it could be worth pricing up the extra nights separately, particularly if you are booking the 3 nights but only need an extra 2, for example.
  • I'll explore the way you describe bazzyb. Thanks for your quick response.

  • Hello, I’ve never taken my children abroad and were thinking of booking somewhere in France with sun holidays. Does anybody know which sites are closest to where the Eurostar or ferry takes you as we want to do as little driving to get to the site as possible! Also is it likely that the holidays in France will have the school holiday dates? Or should I give up on that idea and look for a site in the uk as I work in a school and term time holiday is out of the question. Thanks in advance!

La Bien Assise is about as close as you can get to Calais, but it may not necessarily be the best site for you: https://club950.co.uk/parks/1466/

How long would you be willing to drive for? How old are the kids?

They are 6 and 10. A couple of hours I guess, I’m really quite clueless to if there are any within that distance :o
