  • On the night shift with you guys too!

Looking to book again for the first time in a couple of years. I'm limited with dates as I work in a school so only real option is 25th May - does anyone know what my chances of getting Duinrell are?

Struggling with what our best options are. 2 adults and a 15 year old son, 14 year old nephew. With ferry (Harwich to Hook of Holland and cabin but its day time so this is only for extra comfort), 1 night hotel (so we don't waste the Monday by not getting there until late), all the extras (including the £6 pp pn extra) I reckon it'll cost us nearly £600.(Not including fuel, passport renewal for son) Is it worth it?

Cornwall etc would be about £180 but not sure how suitable for teenagers the parks over here are especially if the weathers bad!

I've managed Duinrell a few times on various dates. The year before last we did as an extended family holiday and 4 of us all managed to book Duinrell for October half term so there must have been plenty of availability - the rest of the family didn't stay up all night to book theirs like I did!

The direct ferries do add a lot to the cost, it is much cheaper to do Dover-Calais ferry or even Eurotunnel, the drive from Calais to Dunirell is pleasant and straightforward.

There's a new site in Holland ( DE SCHATBERG )
Also if you go to somewhere in Lake Garda there's Gardaland Theme Park, not cheap for tickets but looks good for older children
We've had Duinrell in School Holidays at Easter, so though it's not easy to get due to its popularity it's not impossible

We've a family wedding in the Oct hols so are really limited this year. I've just looked and Dover to Dunkirk is £140 so actually might be a feasible option. I assumed the travel that side would be a lot further!
