BGC and BACS

Hello,
I'm not exactly very "money savvy" so I have a simple question. Is a BGC payment the same as a BACS payment. My employer says BACS is how we're paid but my statement says BGC. I only want to know because I was thinking about getting a monzo account to use the early pay feature.
