Where do teens shop for clothes?

My eldest is growing up fast! He currently wears clothes aged 13-14, and as he has no interest in fashion yet, I buy his clothes for him. I shop supermarket ranges, and the purse-friendly high street shops like Primark and H&M. All of these seem to stop children's clothing at size 14 years-ish, and adult male clothing is too big. Where on earth do I buy young adult clothing from??
Thanks in advance, a slightly clueless mum.

Pull and Bear. Reasonably priced and fashionable.
  • Hollister - when the sales are on ;-)
  • Trespass are useful for tall skinny boys (as long as they like the style) as their trousers come in a wider range of sizes - which is great when you are trying to buy a 24" waist and 34" inside leg!
  • River Island are too expensive compared to H & M and Primark Once you start shopping there he,ll want to all the time. Stuff is nice but deffo overpriced.Primark do an extra small man which should fit 13/14 years old.
  • My lads grew like weeds, so we are well known to the local charity shops. Not least as we bring a tape measure, buy armfuls & donate garments all three decline to wear even for gardening.

While they were a bit delicate about admitting to where clothes had come from, I said the office runs a swapshop. Partly true - we donate office garb to charity & the canny secret santa gifts office jewellery so if the recipient doesn't like it, the charity benefits.

My mother in law is a ruthless raider of sale rails & has routinely sent tops & trousers from end of season lines from all sorts of places! (I've still not forgotten the coach trip to Chester - she called me, asking the lads shoe sizes, & returned with 4 pairs of Hush Puppy shoes for the very well dressed toddler, discounted to a fiver a pair as they were last seasons colours.... With all the insoles to ensure the proper fit! We were all so delighted!)

  • Thanks all. Sounds like I need to get the tape measure out, and work out what he'd be in smaller men's sizes. Great tips, will deffo check out some of these suggestions.
  • Hi
I struggle to buy clothes for my son.

He is very slim so I struggle to buy clothes for him off the high street because they all started at a 30 inch waist. He needs a 26inch or 28inch with a belt.

In the end I bought off the internet from MandM

    Cheers

    Jen
