Quidco question

How do you know if the item you're buying is actually included in the cashback category? For example I clicked on Amazon (10% cashback for all shoes, handbags, wallets and sunglasses) and picked a wallet but how do I actually know if said wallet is valid for the discount?
Well a wallet is obviously a wallet you're probably thinking, but there are some ambiguous categories too like Argos (17.25% cashback for all storage purchases when you pay online). What counts as a "storage" purchase though?
Are they talking about containers liker tupperware, storage crates or maybe even sheds? It would be nice if there was a way to know that the item you're buying actually qualifies for the discount?

I have wondered myself but concluded life is too short and I shop in places that give you straight-forward cashback rather than put a million obstacles in your way like Quidco/Amazon do. I suppose if you really want to to know the answer, you should ask Quidco support, or on one of the MSE Shopping boards. It's definitely not a subject for the MSE Savings & Investment board
NB. Quidco's sister site, Topcashback, invariably has better deals for the same retailers.0 -
Hey, great Q! When you click on 'Get cashback' at the side of the online cashback rate this will re-direct you to Amazon's site, specifically for the category you've selected for cashback.
I see when you click through it takes you to Amazon's Fashion section where if you hover over Men's at the top it'll give you the option to view all wallets which will direct you to a selection of wallets. If you look to the left of the page though, you'll see wallets come under the category 'luggage'.
May be a bit confusing at first, apologies for that, but hope this helps! - Joseph (Joseph@quidco.com)Official Company Representative

I made two purchases on Amazon which were in a dificult to place category - you could place them in several categories.
Purchase date 11th November, cashback was received on 10th December!0
