The car is currently insured with Dial Direct and my account is online with them.  On Saturday, I contacted them, 21 days before renewal, and was promised a quote by email on Monday.  On Monday, there was no quote, so contacted them again.  Sorry, it will be with you tomorrow.  Tuesday came and went and no notification from Dial Direct, so I did yet another online chat.  Sorry, it will be with you tomorrow at the latest.  It is now Wednesday and yet again, no contact from Dial Direct and nothing on my online account with them.  I did another online chat with Dial Direct and got nowhere with them.  Is this a tactic, to stop me missing that window of opportunity to get the best available price?  Lots of broken promises. Dirty dealing?

Best available price is variable.. Sometimes i have waited until less than 5 days and got the best
price other times weeks before its due.  Its variable..  Hence the wording above "likely".

Get quotes and make sure you save the quote reference, price goes up then use the cheaper
quote reference.
I waited until 2 days before this year and saved £100 on a sub £400 policy.
