    I think even giving you an undue discount could count as gross misconduct if it’s not allowed, he’s effectively taking money off the employers that he was not entitled to.

  • As others have said, if he has broken known rules, the fact that others do is no defense. I also agree that you are the last person who should go with him to the meeting, particularly as the higher than normal discount was given to you. Why on earth wasn't that instantly corrected, it is theft?

    I also think you should both be looking for other jobs.., and follow the rules. Then this can never happen again. Whatever other people do, if someone take a dislike to you not following the rules leaves you wide open.
