How long for card to arrive?

Hello,
I got accepted for a new M&S credit card on 2nd December, signed online credit agreement on 3rd December and it said we will open your account once we have received your signed agreement and haven't heard anything since. I checked my credit file and see a hard search by them on the 2nd. They also just gave an "indicative" limit of £4500. My last card (different company however) told me my limit there and then and I was able to log in to the account when I received their details the following day and the card was here within 3 days of application. I read a thread from years back where it took 5 weeks to arrive from M&S.
Just wondering what the average wait is for others and if my swift dealings with Virgin was just a rarity.

Normally around 7-10 days for card and PIN.

M&S/HSBC tend to be quite slow form application to receiving the card.


It's usually about four weeks.

Will be a while as you have to send back a signed credit agreement which adds a few days into a standard 14-21 days for card and pin, so I’d agree 4 weeks will be about right.

Took that amount of time for mine a few months back.
