Emergency or urgent treatment
If you require urgent care, you'll pay a Band 1 charge of £22.70.

It was implied earlier that an emergency appointment is a one off stand alone appointment that cannot be treated as part of a plan so needs to be paid for separately. The above wording says different0 -
Band four emergency treatment is a stand alone treatment . It has a charge the same as band one , and is only to urgently rectify a situation in which otherwise dental health may deteriorate. So eg a filling , an extraction , cementing a crown back on , a temporary filling etc may be done but if there is other treatment that needs to be done then that course of emergency treatment is signed off and the patient reappointed for a check up and a new course of treatment opened. If you return for a check up etc then that is a new course of treatment with its own band one etc charge.
The wording above is clear , if you return it will be under a new course of treatment.0
