Needless to say, that was well over a year ago now and Gladstone Brookes sent me a couple of letters threatening CCJ action etcGladstone Brookes aren't involved in this. Check carefully. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Hi everyone, just wanted to drop in and say our hearing was coming up on Tuesday, but the missus has had an email about 10 days ago saying they have discontinued the claim and the matter is now settled. We are yet to hear anything from the court, so I am going to ring them tomorrow to confirm. There has also been no change on the MCOL. Is this typical?2

MCOL is never updated after the case is transferred to a hearing court.umbroshinpad said:Hi everyone, just wanted to drop in and say our hearing was coming up on Tuesday, but the missus has had an email about 10 days ago saying they have discontinued the claim and the matter is now settled. I daren't get too ahead of myself until I get confirmation in the morning! But anyway, it had very little to do with me and entirely to do with the helpful work done by contributors to this board. There is no way I would have been able to do this without you all. Is there anything I can do to show my gratitude?2

Very well done. You've made them blink first. There is no way I would have been able to do this without you all. Is there anything I can do to show my gratitude?Yes, please tell your friends and family of this scam, encourage them to avoid private car parks (they are bear traps), but if they have to, to read the signs carefully, then comply with the silly rules. If they fall foul of any PPC, to come here first before trying to deal with it themselves. That would be a great way to help. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. Just spoken to the court and they've confirmed that the claim has been discontinued and we will get paper confirmation for our records! What a relief! Again, thanks a lot everyone, you've all been amazing. I'll be raising a glass to you all tonight!1
