The stars come out early this Christmas for Charity Carole Event in aid of Leukaemia Research
Get your Christmas celebrations off to a star-studded start with the cream of Britain’s acting talent at the TV Times Christmas Carols with the Stars event on 29 November 2007 at the Royal Albert Hall. This is a chance to see celebrities from much-loved TV shows including The Bill, Coronation Street and Emmerdale present and perform in aid of Leukaemia Research, the UK's leading blood cancer charity.
The celebrity guest list includes Esther Rantzen, Paul O’Grady, Bonnie Langford, Robert Powell, Gary Rhodes and Ainsley Harriott. Former soap stars set to attend include Natalie Cassidy, Charlie Brooks, Louisa Lytton, Brian Capron and Sally Lindsay. TV stars Heather Peace (The Chase) and David Lonsdale (Heartbeat) will sing with gospel choir Ob-Sessions while the world famous Calendar Girls have a song and dance surprise in store. Coronation Street’s Vicky Binns (Molly) and Graeme Hawley (love cheat John) alongside stars from other favourite TV programmes such as Holby Blue, The Bill and Emmerdale, will present and perform at this annual Christmas celebration. Frank Renton will host this star-studded event and lead Frank Renton’s Concert Brass with the Sydenham High School Choir and Caterham High School Choir. Cathy Gilman, Chief Executive at Leukaemia Research, says: “We are so lucky to have so many well-known stars who take time out to support our TV Times Christmas Carols with the Stars event.
