Dartford Tunnel

OH had a cheeky email from Dartford Tunnel saying she has not been there for a year and has to go there or sent more money to the account if not she will lose her balance already there.


Can they do this? I does seem a bit cheeky.

See the other similar threads about this. The account is regarded as inactive of you don't pay in or cross the river. Once either is done you can get your money back.

If we dont cross the river (we live a long way away) Can we request a refund of our balance.


Surely if they say no it is theft.

But you have to pay more in first to activate the account.

Nope - you can just ask for it to be closed and get a refund cheque.
