weekend to Paris in July on a real tight shoestring!

Would like to fly from Southampton airport or Bournemouth or Gatwick or Heathrow (South airports) and stay in Paris for 2 night on the weekend of the 8th July... Can also leave on the 7th July too....

Not looking for anything flash but nothing too basic (hotel)

Can anyone help ?

my favourite is the hotel newton opera, its next to madeleine metro the most perfect location. they have doubles at 130 euros per night in july for bed and breakfast. the rooms are small but very pretty. https://www.hotelnewtonopera.com

I LOVE LOVE LOVE LOVE Paris!!!

Its my favourite place EVER in the entire world.

But I have only stopped at either really really cheap or major expensive - not in the middle. But, as there is so much to do, staying in a cheap place wouldn't really matter - asyou only ever going to use it for sleeping in. :T

I like the Dauphin - its out of the way, near to the La Defense area - small rooms, but nice and quiet. The Metro will get you anywhere.

Budget is basically as minimal as possible, I think we can fly from Bournemouth for £75 each including taxes so something around £50 per night per room would suit as well... that would be a grand total of £250 for the lot (for two people)?? Anything below this would be better?

Really want to go at the weekend as my partner is self employed so will lose revenue when not working too so it becomes even more expensive to do that for us, although i was thinking of going Friday daytime??

Just realised that U2 are playing in Paris on the 9th July so think this proposal mite be a non starter!! Shame cos its my bday... any other cities to recommend? Prague? Barcelona? London? what i want is a budget romantic weekend... (its my bday!)
