  • Hermes should claim compensation from you. They gave you a time slot on the tracking number when they would deliver you could of gone shop after but you decide to go when Hermes came to deliver.

Hermes time slots dont actually mean that much and I wouldnt go off them for delivery updates anymore, I had one yesterday delivery slot 19:00-21:00, at 19:05 I had another email and it changed to 18:00-20:00 which I thought was a bit odd due to it being just after 19:00 already. It did mention it was still delivering today so waited for it for nothing as it didnt arrive and no further update on the tracking.

    will be seeking compensation.
I think you need to grow up a bit, it is only a shirt, not something to become furious about or demand compensation over. Take the adult approach and contact the seller so that they can chase up the courier.

When Hermes drivers run out of time they have to sign all parcels not delivered off then add them to the following days deliveries

A delivered parcel gets scanned when delivered.
Therefore un-delivered parcels will be obvious, as they won't have been scanned as delivered.

If they want to record a reason as to why a parcel wasn't delivered, then that's easily done, & there's no reason whatsoever that it would then trigger as 'delivered' on the system & have a 'signature'.

[I'm not saying that's how it works, just that it is bleedingly obvious as to how it should work. Anyone specifying/designing/building a system that doesn't work that way should be buried under a pile of 'not really delivered' packages]

My Hermes parcel was signed for & delivered yesterday when I was in work... Went home & there was no note/card through the letterbox saying 'left with neighbour' etc.

Parcel was left behind a flowerpot in the front garden.

Never had a problem with Hermes, Amazon or DPD couriers. Very impressed with all of them. Do majority of my shopping online and even at this time of year, had no problems.
