Hello,
I get medical insurance as a benefit in kind, which appears as an additional "payment" on my payslip of around £50 p/m. However, this does not get included in the "total gross pay", it is added to another total, the "total taxable pay". My question is: Do these "payments" contribute to my tax band calculation? In other words, is it total gross pay or total taxable pay which is used to determine my total income for the year, and hence my tax band?
Thanks.
Nevermind I found the answer, it's total taxable! Clue is in the name I guess.
