I may need to apply for uc with my partner, she takes home 1630 per month, if we applied for uc woukd we be put into two claiment commitment groups as she will be work 37 hours a week and I wouldn't be working, or would we both be put in the light touch regime and have to do the two calls on week one and week 2,

You would both be in light touch regime

This would exclude you from work search and work availability requirements. You could still be subject to work related activity.
However, from your other post, you would be claiming with a Fit Note so all of this could be irrelevant as you may not be in the all work search group anyway.Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0 -
What is work related activities
Would my wife be put in no work group as she works 37 hours, surely they can't make her look for more work
Even without claiming esa if I had fit notes I might be out in no work related group anyway0 -
Your partner would be in "no work related requirements - working enough" due to her earnings being above her CET and you would be placed in light touch, again due to household earnings above the AET. Neither of you would be required to attend routine appointments at the jobcentre or look for work/undertake any work related activity (under the current policy).0

Seems to me this is a very confusing part of UC!Information I post is for England unless otherwise stated. Some rules may be different in other parts of UK.0 -
Hopefully there is someone on the forum who has been in this situation, it's so confusing0

Wife would be in Working enough- no work related requirement.
You would be in the Light touch- out of work group.
Light touch out of work means that you won't have a work search claimant commitment.
Any children ? If so, age of youngest child ?
If you have no children, then as a couple you would not be meeting the conditionality earnings threshold. While this remains the case, although you would not be seeing a Work Coach in the Job Centre regularly to review work searches, you may be required to attend the Job Centre at some stage to discuss your situation. The comments I post are personal opinion. We have one child age 12,
So me and my wife would be in different groups if we went on uc0 -
Ok, so with a child of 12, then the CET is worked out based on 25 hours a week national minimum wage, the wifes current earnings may be just enough for both to be in Working enough group ?
When the child turns 13, CET will be based on 35 hours per week. The comments I post are personal opinion. Always refer to official information sources before relying on internet forums.
