Apple Beats studio 3

I have sent a pair of Beats 3 studio in warranty because of poor quality, they decided that repair is too expensive and they sent me a replacement. When I went to the store to pick them up I saw that they sent a refurbished pair with a random colour. I refused to pick them up and asked for the same colour or at least the option to pick another colour ( I like 3 more colour option beside the one I previously had ) so I think it shouldn't be too much. What do you guys think?

Depends on the terms of your warranty. You can't force them to give you a new pair or a colour of your choice if that's not what the warranty provides.0

So it is 100% ok to give me some green headphones as a replacement even if I did not buy those in the first place? �� I couldn't find the warranty details yet, but I will search again and see if its stated somewhere something about colour.0

Warranties are offered by the manufacturer and are not the same as your consumer rights. The manufacturer can do what they like with their warranty terms. They could offer to replace them with a bag of marshmallows if they want to.0 -
I really don't try to be mean in any way, I only came here for a little guidance, I did not know that warranty and consumer's rights are different. I only tried to know if it's a way to change the product legally or forced to accept whatever they are offering :j . Sorry if I upset anybody, maybe I did not formulate my sentences quite right.0

You really need to find out the terms of the warranty if you're making a claim on it. I can't give you guidance on the warranty without knowing its terms. However, I've had a quick look at the Apple warranty and it includes this:
If a defect arises during the Warranty Period, Apple, at its option will......exchange the Product with a product with equivalent functionality formed from new and/or previously used parts that are equivalent to new in performance and reliability
That suggests to me that they are entitled to replace your original set with one of a different colour, because they have the same functionality. The colour makes no difference to their ability to work as headphones.
Let's go back a step. How soon after purchase did you deem the product to be faulty? It's possible you've gone down the warranty route too soon, where you may have been better off exercising your consumer rights.

Where did you buy them from?
How much were they and how did you pay?
When did you realise they were faulty?
When did you contact Apple?0 -
It is almost a year since I bought them. I bought them from a retail company in UK, not from apple directly , it was a sale, I bought them for 200£, they were faulty from the beginning but the issue was not that big, some plastic bits were not in place. I took them as they were for the price, but since then they start falling apart so I spoke with the support, they asked for pictures and they told me that I will get a replacement.
In the end I think there is nothing I can do, except accepting whatever replacement they'll send.0 -
You would have been better off taking them back to the retailer when you determined they were faulty from the beginning. Assuming the fault was obvious, the retailer would have refunded you or exchanged them there and then. Since so much time has elapsed, I think your best bet is to accept the replacement pair Apple have offered, if their offer still stands.androidziby wrote: »It is almost a year since I bought them. I wouldn't accept a colour that I didn't like, have a word with Apple.0
